Green Knights Sweep Series With Finlandia

HANCOCK, Mich. - St. Norbert College picked up its first series sweep of the season when it posted a 9-2 win over Finlandia University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Houghton County Arena.

The Green Knights (7-8-2, 5-6-1 NCHA) rebounded from a 2-1 second-period deficit against the Lions. Danielle Rozon and Henriette Ostergaard scored 10 seconds apart for the Green Knights for a 3-2 lead, and Kelley Ritchie scored 2:15 later for a 4-2 lead at the end of the second period.

Ostergaard and Brooke Nicholson each scored twice in the third period, while Zoe Kurth added the Green Knights' fifth third-period goal. Andrea Senne added a goal in the first period for St. Norbert.

Ostergaard finished with three points, and Nicholson's two goals gave her two points. Rozon and Kurth both had two assists for three-point games. Laurel Hill tallied three assists, while Karissa Anderson had two assists for two points.

St. Norbert outshot Finlandia 66-9. Kaley Gibson made seven saves for the Green Knights, who were 2-for-4 on the power play. Breanna Hynes made 57 saves for the Lions, who were 1-for-3 on the power play.
