OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College could not generate much offense against UW-Oshkosh pitching, dropping a women's softball doubleheader to the Titans 7-0 and 10-1 at Titan Stadium.

The Green Knights end their regular season 15-14 and will play this weekend in the Midwest Conference Tournament at Lake Forest, Ill. UW-Oshkosh, ranked 23rd in the NCAA Division III Poll, improved to 24-8.

St. Norbert had just two hits in the opener, singles by Tracy Palmer and Sam Boushley. The Green Knights couldn't solve Ronessa Stampfli, who walked one and struck out 11 for her 27th career shutout.

The Green Knights hung around in the nightcap, trailing 2-1 after five innings. The Titans scored three times in the sixth and five more times in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

Stephanie Ortiz socked a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth for the Green Knights' lone run. Kim Sawyer was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles for St. Norbert, which left nine runners on base in the nightcap.
