Conlon's Late Goal Lifts Green Knights to Sweep of Concordia

MEQUON - St. Norbert College extended its winning streak to four games when Katie Conlon slammed home a rebound with eight seconds remaining in regulation time for a 2-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association win over Concordia University Wisconsin at Ozaukee Ice Center.
The Green Knights (9-8-2, 7-6-1) earned the hard-fought victory when Henriette Ostergaard's initial drive was stopped by Concordia goaltender Jennifer DeGeorge, but the rebound went to Conlon. Conlon's goal was her second of the season.
Following a scoreless first period, St. Norbert drew first blood when Ostergaard converted on a power-play chance at 3:27 of the second period for her ninth goal of the year. Concordia's Emily Heckendorf followed with the equalizer at 6:21.
St. Norbert outshot Concordia (4-13-3, 4-9-2) by a 33-17 margin, including a 26-12 bulge in the last two periods. The Green Knights were 1-for-5 on the power play, while the Falcons were 0-for-5.
Kaley Gibson made 16 saves for the Green Knights, while DeGeorge made 31 stops for Concordia.
