St. Norbert Finishes Sixth at UW-Whitewater Invitational

WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College finished in sixth place among eight teams competing at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Classic.

The Green Knights totaled 59 points. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 169 points, while UW-Whitewater finished second with 117 points.

St. Norbert's 4x200-meter relay team finished second. The foursome of Angel Hon, Liz LeCaptain, Mara Aparnieks and Calli Nonnemacher finished with a time of 1:49.30.

The distance medley relay of Meghan Braatz, Ashley Polomis, Meghan Valentine and Lauren Janes finished third with a time of 13:02.73. The 4x400-meter relay of Kari Braatz, Jaclyn Kerner, Erin McShea and Nonnemacher was fifth in 4:09.46.

McShea claimed a second-place finish in the 800-meter run, registering a time of 2:21.16.

LeCaptain finished in fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.97 seconds. Kerner was fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.04. Taylor Wenzel was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.73 seconds.

Elvia Martinez was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:27.98. Charlotte Walsh was eighth in the 3,000-meter run in 11:11.51.

In the high jump, Nicole Vanderlin was in a three-way tie for third by clearing a height of 5 feet 2 1/4 inches. Karissa Kaiser was sixth with a height of 4-10 1/2.

Kalee Luedtke placed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 33-4 3/4.
