St. Norbert Sweeps Nationally Ranked Foresters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College continued its stellar play of late as the Green Knights claimed a 4-2 win over nationally ranked Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.

The Green Knights (12-9-2, 10-7-1 NCHA) won for the seventh time in their last eight games, including two games this weekend over the Foresters (14-4-4, 11-3-4 NCHA), who were ranked No. 7 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll.

St. Norbert played from behind, going down 1-0 at the 17:06 mark of the first period when the Foresters' Logan Taylor connected on a power-play goal.

The Green Knights came back in the second period with a pair of goals. Karissa Anderson scored off a feed from Karissa Anderson at 12:55. Stephanie Slinde, a transfer from Lake Forest, finished a power-play goal with Lauren Roethlisberger and Laurel Hill assisting at 15:04.

Anderson gave the Green Knights a 3-1 lead when she scored unassisted at the 2:03 mark of the third period. Michelle Greeneway halved the deficit for the Foresters with a goal at 6:55. Anderson then recorded her first career hat trick with a goal at 18:11 of the period. Danielle Rozon assisted on the goal.

Lake Forest outshot St. Norbert 36-33, but Kaley Gibson made 34 saves for the Green Knights. Stacey Dierking collected 29 saves for the Foresters. St. Norbert was 1-for-6 on the power play, while Lake Forest was 1-for-7.
