St. Norbert Places Second at MWC Indoor Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in second place for the third consecutive year at the Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Monmouth College's Huff Athletic Center.

The Green Knights totaled 106 points, finishing only behind Monmouth's 207.5 points. Illinois College was in third place at 88 points.

Liz LeCaptain won the 60-meter dash conference championship with a MWC record time of 7.88 seconds. Mara Aparnieks was sixth in the event at 8.20 seconds.

Erin McShea, who was named one of the meet's Most Outstanding Track Performers at the concusion of the event, also claimed a conference title by winning the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.94. Hannah Andrekus was seventh in 2:23.83.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Karissa Kaiser, Jaclyn Kerner, McShea and Calli Nonnemacher finished second with a time of 4:05.93.

Kerner was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.83 seconds. Nonnemacher was sixth in 1:02.40, while Kaiser was seventh in 1:03.07.

Taylor Wenzel was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.86 seconds. Amanda Yenter was seventh in 10.11 seconds, while Andrea Bosman was eighth in 10.42 seconds.

Angel Hon was seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.94 seconds. Kalee Luedtke was seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 10.54 meters.
