DE PERE - St. Norbert College freshman Nicole Vanderlin is the Green Knights' lone qualifier for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Vanderlin is one of 15 qualifiers in the high jump, which takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday at North Central College's Recreation Center and Al Carius Track. Vanderlin is tied for the fifth-highest seeding at 5 feet 6 1/2 inches, which she reached Friday at the Carthage College Last Chance Meet. Rose-Hulman Institute's Elizabeth Evans is the top seeding at 5-10.

Vanderlin, a Vulcan, Mich., native and a graduate of Norway High School, is just one of two freshmen to qualify for the indoor high jump championship.
