KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College erased a seven-run deficit to top the U.S. Coast Guard Academy 8-7 in its only win of the day at the Rebel Games. The Green Knights dropped their second game 7-0 to the University of Mount Union.

The Green Knights (4-4) fell behind 7-0 after the top of the first inning when the Coast Guard put up seven runs on seven hits. St. Norbert got one run back in the bottom of the frame when Morgan Buboltz doubled in Steph Brunette.

St. Norbert scored three runs in the second, all scoring on a pair of Coast Guard errors. Mackenzie Dorow had an RBI triple in the third inning, followed by an RBI single by JoAnna Ruppa to cut the deficit to 7-6. The Green Knights tied the game in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Abby Gildernick.

St. Norbert scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two outs and nobody on, Brunette singled and promptly stole second. Samantha Gross' grounder was misplayed by Coast Guard, and Brunette came around from second to score the winning run.

Dorow and Ruppa were both 2-for-4 for St. Norbert, which had eight hits. Morgan Rusch earned the win in relief, allowing three hits with no runs and five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.

Against Mount Union, the Green Knights mustered just four hits in the shutout loss. Ruppa doubled for St. Norbert, while Shannen Schmidt took the loss.
