St. Norbert Claims Carroll Invite Title

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College totaled 219 points to earn the championship of the Carroll University Invitational at the Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex.

The Green Knights finished 38 points ahead of runner-up Carroll, which finished with 191 points. Milwaukee School of Engineering was in third place with 92 points.

Randy Hill won two field events, winning the long jump at 22 feet 8 1/2 inches. He also won the triple jump with a distance of 45-5.

Benny Swift won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.12, and Nathan Heppe won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:07.66. Brad Boockmeier won the shot put with a heave of 45-7 1/4.

Taylor Pasterski was second in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.83 seconds, while Stephen Shepard was third with a time of 50.98 seconds. Hayden Hoffmann was second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:52.57, and Heppe finished in third place in 16:04.88.

Jack Feuerstein finished in second place in both the 110- and 400-meter hurdles in 16.33 and 59.84 seconds, respectively. Michael Linzmeier was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:15.95. Kenny Oxendorf was second in the discus throw at an even 134 feet.

Tyler Seidl finished in third place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.53 seconds. Justin Fote was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:02.62. Luke Frommelt was third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:54.11. Jordan Baker was third in the high jump at 5-9 3/4. Joe McArdle was third in the hammer throw at 120-4, while Patrick Sweetman was third in the javelin throw at an even 135 feet.

The 4x100-meter relay of Sheperd, Pasterski, Seidl and Akeem Edmonds won with a time of 44.47 seconds. Pasterski, Jake Schneider, Edmonds and Sheperd win the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:28.29.
