Green Knights Top Concordia, Fall to WLC

KOHLER - St. Norbert College split a pair of dual matches, topping Concordia University Wisconsin 8-1 at Sports Core in Kohler before losing 5-4 to Wisconsin Lutheran College at Elite Sports Club in Glendale.

The Green Knights (8-13) swept all three doubles matches to get off to a good start against Concordia. Nancy Chybowski and Maria Slusarek topped Julie Spransy and Jaclyn Ward 8-2 at No. 1. Ariel Bloniarz and Emily Rasmussen followed with an 8-5 win over Callie Reinke and Ashley Knoll at No. 2. Lizza Tews and Maria Dzurik claimed an 8-5 win over Emily McCormick and Amanda Ropiak at No. 3.

Chybowski defeated Spransy 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, and Slusarek defeated Ward 6-0, 4-6, 10-6 at No. 2. Bloniarz topped Reinke 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, followed by a 6-1, 6-3 win for Lizzy Tews over Emily McCormick at No. 4. Rasmussen closed out the wins with a 7-5, 6-4 decision over Knoll at No. 5.

Against Wisconsin Lutheran, Chybowski and Slusarek defeated Emily Pearson and Alyssa Strangstalien 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Chybowski recorded a 5-7, 7-6 (10-5), 10-5 win over Kaitlyn Strehlow at No. 1 singles. Slusarek defeated Pearson 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, and Tews topped Strangstalien 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4.
