Green Knights in Third Place After First Day at MWC Championship

BELOIT - St. Norbert College sits in third place through seven events at the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Beloit College's Strong Stadium.

The Green Knights have 28.5 points, just ahead of Illinois College's 28. Monmouth College has 94.5 points, while Carroll University has 28.5 points.

Charlotte Walsh finished in second place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 39:10.32.

Nicole Vanderlin was third in the high jump at 5 feet 5 inches, while Karissa Kaiser was tied for sixth in the event at 5-1. Kyra Vanden Heuvel was fifth in the long jump at 16-5 1/4.

Hannah Andrekus was fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:59.75. Allyson Klein was sixth in the pole vault at 9-7, while Jenne Wiedemeier was eighth at 9-1.

Action resumes at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Beloit.
