Three Named to ABCA All-Central Region Teams

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had three players receive All-Central Region honors awarded by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings.

Junior outfielder Alex Larsen was a first-team all-region selection, junior infielder Travis Mason was a second-team choice as a utility player, and freshman pitcher Brett Nohr was a third-team honoree.

Larsen, a Baileys Harbor native, hit a team-high .356 with six home runs and 38 RBIs. Larsen's 57 hits and 87 total bases led the team, and he was successful 22 times in 23 stolen-base attempts.

Mason, a De Pere native, finished with a .327 batting average, four home runs and 36 RBIs. Mason also had 13 doubles, four triples and 12 stolen bases. He finished with 84 total bases. Mason went 2-1 with a 3.71 earned run average in 26 2/3 innings as a pitcher.

Nohr, an Ashwaubenon native, finished the season 7-1 with a 2.79 earned run average in 58 innings pitched. Nohr, who had a .259 batting average against, fired two shutouts.

All three were first-team All-Midwest Conference selections, with Mason earning his second All-MWC nod. Nohr was also named Midwest Conference North Division Pitcher of the Year.

The Green Knights finished this season 27-13, matching a school record for wins, and placed second at the Midwest Conference Tournament.
