Green Knights Drop Two to Open Season

ELMHURST, Ill. - The St. Norbert College women's volleyball team opened the 2013 season with a pair of losses at the Elmhurst College Tournament.

The Green Knights fell to No. 4-ranked Elmhurst 25-12, 25-11, 25-18 and then dropped a four-set decision to Occidental College by scores of 25-14, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23 at Faganel Hall.

Heidi Spies had 10 kills and seven blocks against Occidental after netting five kills against Elmhurst. Breanne Brocker finished with seven kills and 20 digs against Occidental, and added 12 kills and three digs against Elmhurst.

Aubree Antosch had 22 digs against Occidental for the Green Knights (0-2).

St. Norbert continues Saturday in the Elmhurst Tournament with matches at 9 a.m. against Olivet College and at 1 p.m. against No. 12-ranked University of Chicago.
