St. Norbert Finishes Tenth at Rigorous Midwest Open

SOMERS - St. Norbert College placed tenth out of 15 teams at the highly competitive Midwest Open hosted by UW-Parkside at the Dannehl National Cross Country Course.

The Green Knights totaled 295 points for their tenth-place finish, with eight of the schools placing ahead of them schools at the NCAA Division I or II level. Butler University won the meet with 25 points, while Edinboro College was second with 40 points. Butler's Erik Peterson won the 8K race with a time of 24:44.9. A total of 166 runners competed.

Benny Swift paced St. Norbert with a 54th-place finish with a time of 27:09.3. Nathan Heppe finished 60th in 27:13.7, while Michael Linzmeier was 76th with a time of 27:42.1.

Brady Bemis finished in 91st with a time of 28:21.2. Jaquan Grier and Justin Fote placed 95th and 96th with respective times of 28:27.7 and 28:28.5. Alexander Clemstson was 103rd with a time of 28:42.7 to close out the Green Knights' top seven.
