St. Norbert Blanked at UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE - St. Norbert College battled even for a half but allowed three second-half goals to fall 3-0 to UW-Platteville in a non-conference match at Pioneers Stadium.

The Green Knights (3-5-2) played to a scoreless first half with the Pioneers (4-3-3) before the host scored three times in the second half. Jake Tyler (50th minute), Cameron Weess (53rd minute) and Emilio Lopez (80th minute) all scored for Platteville.

The Pioneers held a 17-6 advantage on shots, but the Green Knights did hold a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. Ian Christensen made four saves to get the shutout for Platteville. Scott Faul made three saves for St. Norbert in just over 60 minutes of action, while Sam Lisheron made four saves in relief.
