St. Norbert Places Third at Midwest Conference Championship

ROCKFORD, Ill. - St. Norbert College had its highest conference finish in six years when it finished in third place at the Midwest Conference Women's Golf Championship at Aldeen Golf Club.

The Green Knights last finished in third place in 2007. The Green Knights posted a 388-359-373--1120, 27 strokes behind champion Grinnell College. Illinois College finished 18 strokes better than St. Norbert to finish in second place. Illinois College's Mackenzie Barker was the conference champion with an 87-83-84--354. A total of 32 golfers competed in the 54-hole event.

Kylie Swoboda finished in third place for St. Norbert, totaling an 89-83-96--268. Swoboda's second-day total of 83 was the best round turned in this fall by a Green Knight. Swoboda finished three strokes behind Monmouth College's Hannah Long for second place.

Taylor Debski finished in 12th place, finishing with a 98-92-91--281. Kathleen Geraghty was tied for 17th place with teammate Lauren Roethlisberger. Geraghty shot a 99-87-104--290, while Roethlisberger finished with a 102-97-91.

Kelley Kletti finished in a tie for 20th place with a 104-97-95--296. Hannah Schwefel placed 29th by totaling a 112-113-106--331.
