St. Norbert Gets Solid Performance in Season Opener

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College had several top finishes as the Green Knights opened their season at the UW-Stevens Point Triangular. The Green Knights completed against the Pointers and Ripon College in an unscored meet.

Liz LeCaptain won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.89 seconds. LeCaptain took third in the 200-meter dash in 27.97 seconds.

Haley Joosten and Charlotte Walsh took first and second, respectively, in the 800-meter run with times of 2:34.11 and 2:35.81. The two then swapped finishes in the 1-mile run, with Walsh winning with a time of 5:37.62 and Joosten close behind in second at 5:38.72.

Karissa Kaiser and Nicole Vanderlin finished in a tie for first in the high jump, with both reaching high marks of 5 feet 1 3/4 inches.

Elvia Martinez won the 3,000-meter run by almost 11 seconds, finishing with a time of 10:46.92.

Taylor Wenzel finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.38 seconds, while Taylor Yenter was third with a time of 10.41 seconds.

Erin Lang was second in the long jump at 16-0 1/2. Jaclyn Kerner placed second in the 300-meter dash with a time of 42.92 seconds.
