Green Knights Fall to UW-Green Bay, Top Concordia-Wis.

DE PERE - St. Norbert College split a pair of non-conference dual matches, falling to NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay 4-3 before defeating Concordia University Wisconsin 8-1 at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Green Knights (21-4) were unable to pick up the crucial doubles point against the Phoenix, winning just one of three matches. Emily Rasmussen and Maggie Berens defeated Carly Van Nuland and Noel Peck 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

Ariel Bloniarz defeated Rachael Menos 4-6, 6-3, 10-3 at No. 3 singles, while Brittany Dudzik topped Van Nuland 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5. Ashley Randazzo tipped Peck 7-6 (7-0), 1-6, 10-5 at No. 6.

St. Norbert swept Concordia in the three doubles matches. Nancy Chybowski and Elizabeth Manlick beat Emily McCormick and Elizabeth Carroll 8-1 at No. 1, followed by Randazzo and Bloniarz besting Kristine Weber and Ashley Knoll 8-2 at No. 2. Rasmussen and Lizzy Tews knocked off Amanda Ropiak and Hayley Paykel 8-2 at No. 3.

Chybowski defeated McCormick 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1, and Manlick nearly blanked Weber at No. 2 by a 6-1, 6-0 score. Bloniarz topped Knoll 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3, followed by Dudzik's shutout of Ropiak with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 5. Randazzo defeated Jessica Sapp 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
