St. Norbert Repeats as Wisconsin Lutheran Invite Champs

MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College won the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational for the second consecutive year with several strong performances at Raabe Stadium.

The Green Knights, who won an invitational for the third consecutive week, totaled 177 points. St. Norbert finished ahead of second-place Milwaukee School of Engineering's 142 points and third-place Carroll University's 104 points.

Randy Hill won three events to lead the Green Knights. Hill took the high jump with a height of 6 feet 2 3/4 inches. He also won the long jump at 21-3/4, and also won the triple jump with a height of 42-1 1/4.

Austin Livingston, Ryan Grandlic and Stephen Sheperd swept the top three places in the 400-meter dash. Livingston won with a time of 50.58 seconds, followed by Grandlic in 51.72 seconds and Sheperd in third at 51.99 seconds.

Benny Swift took top honors in the 1-mile run, turning in a time of 4:32.51. Jake Schneider was second in the 800-meter run at 1:58.73, while Jordan Baker was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.98 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Akeem Edmonds, Grandlic, Livingston and Taylor Pasterski took first with a time of 3:23.97. The distance medley relay of Sam Holt, Tommy Jones, Tommy Zakowski and Nathan Heppe was third in 11:22.69.

Pasterski was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.48 sceonds. Tyler Lewis was third in the 100-meter dash at 11.78 seconds.

Evan Broyles was second in the shot put with a distance of 45-7 3/4. He placed third in the discus with a distance of 133-4.
