BELOIT - St. Norbert College rallied from a four-run deficit in the nightcap of a Midwest Conference doubleheader with Beloit College to post a sweep by scores of 2-1 and 6-4 at Strong Complex Field.

The Green Knights (12-13, 7-3 MWC North) trailed 4-0 heading into the sixth inning of game two. St. Norbert climbed back into the game with three runs in the sixth inning on one hit and two Beloit (5-23, 2-7) errors. Tayler Long drove in St. Norbert's first run with a fielder's choice grounder. JoAnna Ruppa's grounder to short drove in another run, and Jessica DeMeuse scored the third run on a Beloit error.

St. Norbert scored three more runs in the top of the seventh. Samantha Gross' RBI double tied the game, and Emily Laufer's RBI single put the Green Knights ahead 5-4. Long's sacrifice bunt pushed MacKenzie Hazen across with an insurance run.

St. Norbert had seven hits, and Gross was 2-for-4 for the Green Knights' lone multi-hit game. Brianna Byrne picked up the win, allowing six hits with four walks and three strikeouts.

The Green Knights survived a tense closing moment to win the opener. St. Norbert nursed a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh. The Buccaneers had the potential game-tying run at third base with one out and the bases were loaded with two outs, but St. Norbert pitcher Morgan Rusch escaped the jam to nail down the win.

Codi Jenshak hit a solo home run in the first inning for St. Norbert. Beloit scored a run in the third inning, but Jenshak put the Green Knights ahead in the fifth with an RBI single to score DeMeuse.

Jenshak had two of St. Norbert's five hits, finishing 2-for-3. Rusch allowed three hits in the complete-game victory, walking six and striking out eight.
