St. Norbert Takes Second at Wisconsin Private Colleges Championship

MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College finished in second place at the Wisconsin Private Colleges Championship hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College at Raabe Stadium.

The Green Knights totaled 186 points to narrowly finish behind Carthage College, which finished with 211.5 points. Ripon College was in third place with 128.5 points.

Randy Hill won a pair of field events, taking first place in the high jump and triple jump. Hill cleared the high jump at 6 feet 2 3/4 inches, and recorded a distance of 44-6 in the triple jump. Hill was second in the long jump at 20-11 3/4 to teammate Kevin Schlichter, who won the event at 21-3 1/4.
Hayden Hoffmann won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:01.50, while Mike Linzmeier was second in 10:22.31.

Brady Bemis won the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:11.26. Sam Holt was second in 35:26.13, and Luke Frommelt was third in 36:35.94.

Brad Boockmeier won the javelin throw with a distance of 156-8.

The 4x400-meter relay of Jack Feuerstein, Jake Schneider, Dan Sisler and Jordan Baker was second with a time of 3:30.53.

Baker was second in the high jump at 5-8 3/4, and was third in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.83 seconds. Daniel Reigh was second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:24.16.

Schneider was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.90.
