St. Norbert Tops Grinnell in MWC Lidlifter

GRINNELL, Iowa - The St. Norbert College women's volleyball team remained unbeaten with a three-set sweep of Grinnell College in both teams' Midwest Conference opener at Darby Gym.

The Green Knights won 25-16, 25-22, 25-22 to improve to 13-0 this season, continuing their best season start ever. It was also their sixth consecutive match win by a 3-0 score.

Katie Casebolt led the Green Knights with 10 kills, getting just one error in 26 attempts for a .346 hitting percentage. Sam Jungbluth added eight kills, Joanna Mamayek six and Danielle DeGroot and Sarah Sulentich five each.

St. Norbert had 64 digs in the match, getting 15 from Casebolt, 14 from Ayello and 13 from Angst. Ayello added 23 assists, while Mamayek and Jungbluth each had three blocks.

The Green Knights continue their southern trek in the Midwest Conference on Saturday with a 1 p.m. tilt against Knox College.
