Hill Drafted in Fifth Round by CWHL's Toronto Furies

DE PERE - Former St. Norbert College standout Laurel Hill was drafted Tuesday in the fifth round of the 2014 Canadian Women's Hockey League Draft by the Toronto Furies.

Hill, a defenseman from Huntsville, Ontario, was the 18th overall player chosen in the 19-round draft. There are five teams in the CWHL, which began in 2007.

Hill, a first-team Division III All-America selection in 2014, was the first All-American in the Green Knights' four-year program history. Hill was the fifth-leading scorer among defensemen nationally and was second-best in the West Region this past season with four goals and 20 assists for 24 points in 26 games.

Hill closed out her career with 12 goals and 41 assists for 53 points in 90 career games.
