Green Knights Blank UW-River Falls and UW-Stout

EAU CLAIRE - St. Norbert College opened the 2014-15 season with a pair of 9-0 wins over Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes, topping UW-River Falls at River Falls and UW-Stout at the Eau Claire YMCA.

St. Norbert earned 8-2 wins at all three doubles points against River Falls. Nancy Chybowski and Elizabeth Manlick beat Kelsey Hochberger and Hannah Klimek at the No. 1 flight, while Erika Chitko and Ashley Randazzo defeated Anna Ebensperger and Molly Deering at No. 2. Katherine Ake and Anna Gosz topped Kayla Rosenow and Makayla Newberry at No. 3.

Ake blanked Klimek 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Chitko defeated Deering 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Chybowski beat Ebensperger 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Gosz topped Rosenow 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5.

Against Stout, Manlick and Chybowski defeated Angela Braun and Cortney Hallahan 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. Chitko and Randazzo defeated Kelsey Pedersen and Anna Lano 8-4 at No. 2, while Gosz and Ake bested Emma Pedersen and Jenna Welke 8-4 at No. 3.

Ake beat Emma Pedersen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and Chybowski beat Hallahan 6-1, 6-1 at No.2 singles. Chitko defeated Kelsey Pedersen 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
