Green Knights Drop Pair to Nationally Ranked Foes

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College lost a pair of matches to teams ranked in the NCAA Division III Top 25 on the first day of the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at Berg Gym.

The Green Knights (2-4) lost their opener to UW-Whitewater, ranked No. 20, by a score of 25-15, 25-10, 25-8. Host Stevens Point, ranked No. 2 nationally, then defeated St. Norbert 25-11, 25-18, 25-15.

St. Norbert finished with 23 hitting errors and had 15 kills in 80 attempts against Whitewater. Hannah Johnshoy had a team-high five kills. Aubree Antosch had 11 of the Green Knights' 30 digs, while Kaitlin Delahaut totaled 10 assists.

Against Stevens Point, Johnshoy had 11 kills to pace the Green Knights. Heidi Spies had six kills, while Breanne Brocker and Anika Johnson had four kills apiece. Brocker finished with 14 digs, Antosch 12 and Johnshoy 10. Delahaut had 21 assists.

St. Norbert faces Ripon College at 10 a.m. and Wisconsin Lutheran College at Noon Saturday on the second day of the tournament.
