Green Knights Rout Lake Forest

DE PERE - St. Norbert College won another big match in the Midwest Conference women's soccer race as the Green Knights posted a 4-0 win over Lake Forest College at the Minahan Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights are now 5-4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Midwest Conference, beating a pair of conference tournament teams from a year ago already this season in Carroll and Lake Forest.

Stephanie Gatyas scored on assisted for her second goal of the season at 18:45, the only score the Green Knights would need. Jessica Schadrie added a pair of goals before halftime to boost her season total to nine. Schadrie scored off an assist from Jenni Jacobson at 22:00, while Ann Maki fed Schadrie with a helper at 35:12.

Alissa Roff scored her first goal of the season at 73:07 off an assist from Katherine Larson to round out the scoring.

St. Norbert and Lake Forest were equal in shots at 10 apiece. Mallory Ford made two saves in working just over 80 minutes, while Brittany Verheyen had one save in relief. Alison Lynch had four saves for the Foresters.
