Green Knights Win Twice

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College picked up a pair of wins with a 7-2 Midwest Conference triumph over Lawrence University and an 8-1 non-conference win over UW-Oshkosh at Western Racquet and Fitness.

The Green Knights (8-1, 4-0 MWC) took two doubles points against Lawrence. Elizabeth Manlick and Nancy Chybowski topped Hannah Geoffrey and Katie Frankel 8-3 at No. 1, followed by Katherine Ake and Erika Chitko also claiming an 8-3 win over Lindsay Holsen and Ali Heiring at No. 2.

Manlick defeated Geoffrey 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, while Ake blanked Holsen 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3. Chitko claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Allison Juda at No. 4, while Anna Gosz defeated Tess Vogel 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5. Ashley Randazzo defeated Melissa Heeren 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6.

Against Oshkosh, St. Norbert swept the three doubles points. Manlick and Chybowski beat Erica Van Riper 8-3 at No. 1, while Ake and Chitko topped Brianna Theobald and Llora Waldman 8-4 at No. 2. Gosz and Randazzo tipped Hannah Bostwick and Maggie Bolton 8-5 at No. 3.

Manlick topped Van Riper 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1. Ake moved up to No. 2 singles to beat Sagen 6-2, 6-3. Chybowski outlasted Theobald 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 at No. 3 singles, and Chitko beat Waldman 7-5, 6-4 at No. 4. Gosz claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Paige Ganser 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5.
