Green Knights Felled By UW-Stevens Point

DE PERE - St. Norbert College fell behind early and couldn't recover in a 4-1 loss to UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (3-5) surrendered a goal to the Pointers' Sarah Meylor just 3 minutes 19 seconds into the game. Stevens Point (4-6) took a 2-0 lead at 23:22 on a marker by Kelsey Schneider.

The Pointers put the game out of reach on a goal by Kim Gietman at 73:09. St. Norbert cut the deficit to 3-1 on Riana Smith's first goal of the year. Smith's unassisted goal was a top-shelf finish at 85:56. Stevens Point closed out the scoring on a goal by Jillian Ross at 87:15

Stevens Point outshot St. Norbert 16-12. Sarah Platzer made eight saves for the Green Knights, while Morgan Voigt made four stops for the Pointers.
