Gosz Named MWC Perfomer of the Week

DE PERE - St. Norbert College sophomore Anna Gosz has been selected as the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Performer of the Week after going perfect in singles and doubles in huge conference victories Saturday over Grinnell College and Cornell College.

Gosz, a Wausau native, led St. Norbert to a huge weekend, as the Green Knights took firm control of first place in the MWC with 7-2 wins over Grinnell and Cornell. Gosz, playing at No. 5 singles, earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Grinnell's Julia Rumley and a 6-1, 6-3 win over Cornell's Gabriella Ferro.

Playing with Ashley Randazzo at No. 3 doubles, the tandem defeated Grinnell's Anushka Joshi and Sydney Banach 8-3 and Cornell's Anne Seng and Katie Mintle 8-4. Gosz is now 11-2 in singles action this season (9-0 at No. 5 singles) and 9-3 overall in doubles play.

St. Norbert is 10-1 overall and 6-0 in MWC play.
