Green Knights Drop One-Goal Game to Sabres

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had plenty of scoring chances in the second half but couldn't find the equalizer in a 1-0 loss to Marian University in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

Marian (6-6) scored the game's only goal at the 37 minutes 27 seconds mark when Beth Merten converted a breakaway. Laura Maly assisted.

The Sabres had a 17-4 shots advantage in the first half but the Green Knights turned it around in the second half with an 11-7 edge. St. Norbert had a handful of quality chances but couldn't even the score.

Marian outshot St. Norbert 24-15 for the game. Sarah Platzer made nine saves for St. Norbert. Alysha Kallas had one save in the first half for Marian, while Caitlyn Rosenberger made nine saves in the second half.
