Green Knights Drop Heartbreaker to UW-Whitewater

DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored the match's first goal but couldn't hold the lead and eventually succumbed to UW-Whitewater, dropping a 2-1 decision in a non-conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (7-2-2) broke the ice at 51:03, when Nathan Angell finished a cross from Calian Schrader from about 20 yards out. It was Angell's fourth goal of the season.
Whitewater (8-3-2) answered at 58:05 when John Gottwald's corner kick was headed in by Ryan Reid. The Warhawks took the lead at 64:54, when Gottwald converted a penalty kick after the Green Knights were whistled for a foul in the penalty area.
Whitewater outshot St. Norbert 20-7, but only 5-4 in the second half. The Warhawks also had a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
Sam Lisheron made eight saves for the Green Knights. Josh Rohde made six saves for the Warhawks.
