DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't extend its season for another week after suffering a 1-0 loss to Carroll University in a Midwest Conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (7-10-1, 5-4-1 MWC) and Pioneers (7-8-2, 6-2-2) squared off in a match where the winner would reach the MWC Tournament and the loser's season would end.

After a scoreless first half, Carroll scored the game's lone goal at the 62:58 mark when Shannon Carroll scored on a near-post finish for her second goal of the season. Kaitlynn Daehn assisted.

St. Norbert outshot Carroll 14-9, including 7-3 in the first half, and the Pioneers held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks. Carroll's Erica Patterson made five saves in the shutout, while Sarah Platzer finished with three stops for the Green Knights.
