Three Earn All-Midwest Conference Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had three players earn All-Midwest Conference Women's Volleyball honors on the All-MWC team announced today.

Senior middle hitter Heidi Spies and senior outside hitter Breanne Brocker were named first-team All-MWC, while sophomore defensive specialist Aubree Antosch was a second-team selection.

Spies, a West Bend native, was a unanimous first-team All-MWC selection and was a first-team All-MWC choice for the second consecutive season. In 28 matches, Spies has 290 kills and a hitting percentage of .274. She also has 97 digs, 75 blocks and 37 service aces.

Brocker, a Maribel native, was a first-team honoree after being a second-team All-MWC choice her first three seasons. Brocker has 280 kills with a .234 hitting percentage in 28 matches, and also has 352 digs, 29 blocks and 17 service aces.

Antosch, a Mosinee native, led St. Norbert in the back row with 506 digs in 28 matches. She also has 19 service aces.

Cornell College's Kylea Weber was named MWC Player of the Year, while the Rams' Jeff Meeker was named MWC Coach of the Year.

St. Norbert, 15-13 overall, finished in second place in the Midwest Conference at 9-1. The Green Knights face Carroll University at 4:30 p.m. Friday in a MWC Tournament semifinal match in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
