ST. CLOUD, Minn. - St. Norbert College put 45 shots on goal but couldn't find twine and settled for a 0-0 tie with St. John's University in a non-conference game at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

The Green Knights (10-1-2) skated to their third scoreless tie in school history. St. Norbert had 0-0 draws with UW-Stevens Point on Jan. 27, 1995 and at UW-Superior on Feb. 3, 2012.

St. Norbert outshot the Johnnies 17-5 in the first period and 45-25 for the game. The Green Knights had a power play late in the first two periods, while St. John's had a power play late in the third period bridging into overtime.

David Jacobson made 25 saves for his 20th career shutout, becoming just the second player in NCAA Division III history to reach that plateau. St. Norbert's Kyle Jones posted a Division III-record 25 shutouts from 2005 to 2008.

St. John's' Saxton Soley, the younger brother of former St. Norbert skater Seth Soley, turned in a 45-save outing for the Johnnies.

The Green Knights committed just one penalty, the seventh time in school history they've accomplished that mark. St. John's (6-3-4) was whistled for just two minor offenses.
