Green Knights Open Season at UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College opened its 2015 track and field season participating in the UW-Stevens Point Quad and Alumni Meet at the UW-Stevens Point Multi-Activity Center.

The Green Knights posted 184.5 points to finish second to UW-Stevens Point's 304.

Liz LeCaptain won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.91 seconds. Lisa Baeten claimed first place in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:26.56. Samantha Morateck won the high jump with a height of 5 feet 3 inches.

St. Norbert swept the top three places in the 3,000-meter run. Erin Artz was first in in 10:48.86, Charlotte Walsh was second in 11:00.17 and Taylor Miller was third in 11:03.29.

Brittany Kozlowski placed second in the 200-meter dash in 28.60 seconds, while Mara Aparnieks was third in 28.66 seconds. Taylor Wenzel was second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.52 seconds, while Teagan Wernicke was third in 10.70 seconds.

Angel Hon was third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.42 seconds. Nicole Vanderlin was third in the high jump by clearing 5-1.
