St. Norbert Rallies For Tie With Unbeaten Adrian

DE PERE - St. Norbert College came back to forge a 2-2 tie with Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (13-6-3, 8-4-3 NCHA) rallied from a 2-0 deficit against the fifth-ranked Bulldogs (18-0-3, 12-0-3 NCHA). St. Norbert faces Lake Forest College at 2 p.m. Saturday in a battle for second place in the league standings.

Adrian took a 1-0 lead after one period on a power-play goal by Kaylyn Schroka at 17:27. The Bulldogs added to their lead when Hannah McGowan scored at 13:54 of the second period.

The Green Knights responded with a pair of power-play goals. Jillian Kosteck scored at 16:30 of the second period to halve the deficit, and Katie Conlon followed at 13:07 of the third period to draw even.

Adrian had a 5-4 shots-on-goal advantage in overtime.

Adrian outshot St. Norbert 42-31 for the game. Leigh Grall made 40 saves for the Green Knights, while Jade Walsh made 29 stops for the Bulldogs. St. Norbert was 2-for-7 on the power play, while Adrian was 1-for-5.
