Offense Quiet in Loss to Saints

DE PERE - St. Norbert College outshot the College of St. Scholastica 43-18 but the visitors led at the pay window, as the Green Knights lost their fourth consecutive game with a 3-1 setback in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Cornerstone Community Center.

Neither team scored in the first period, and St. Scholastica (11-8-3, 8-5-2 NCHA) scored the first goal with a power-play marker from Keegan Bruce at the 4:48 mark of the second period.

St. Norbert (14-5-2, 10-4-1) answered with a power-play goal by Mason Baptista at 11:30 of the second period, but the Saints took the lead on a shot from the high point by Matt Malenstyn at 15:27.

The Saints salted the game away with a power-play goal from Kyle Beaulieu at 11:54.

Tyler Bruggeman made 42 saves for the Saints, while Tony Kujava made 15 stops for St. Norbert. The Saints were 2-for-4 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 1-for-6.
