St. Norbert Opens NCAA Tournament With Luther

DE PERE - St. Norbert College will face Luther College in its first-round NCAA Division III West Regional Tournament game Friday at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.

St. Norbert (22-3) will face Luther (22-5) at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Schoenecker Arena. St. Thomas (27-0) will face the University of Minnesota-Morris (16-11) at 8 p.m. Friday. The regional championship is set for 7 p.m. Saturday.

St. Norbert is making its 12th NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and its fifth in the last eight years. The Green Knights, who won the Midwest Conference regular-season and tournament championships, are 9-15 all-time in the tournament.

Luther finished second in the regular season in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and then went on to win the IIAC Tournament. The Norse are making their 10th NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and are 12-9 all-time in the tournament.

St. Thomas is making its 22nd NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and is 40-21 all-time in the tournament. UM-Morris is in its fourth NCAA Division III Tournament and is 2-3 all-time in the tournament.
