St. Norbert Wins Twice In Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - St. Norbert College earned a pair of victories with a 9-0 win over Greenville College and an 8-1 triumph over NCAA Division II-foe Fairmont State University.

The Green Knights (16-2) swept doubles action against Greenville. Elizabeth Manlick and Nancy Chybowski defeated Lexi Baysinger and L. Blaser Friedline 8-2 at No. 1, while Erika Chitko and Katherine Ake beat Abby Mauer and Emilie Britt 8-1 at No. 2. Anna Gosz and Ashley Randazzo followed with an 8-5 win over Emily Rauch and Amanda Scott at No. 3.

Manlick defeated Baysinger 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while Chybowski bested Friedline 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2. Ake topped Scott 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, and Chitko beat Rauch 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Gosz blanked Gianna Paden 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and Randazzo defeated Kelsey Laurent 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Against Fairmont State, St. Norbert again swept the three doubles points. Manlick and Chybowski beat Taylor Nichols and Geena Lammertin at No. 1, and Ake and Chitko topped Erin McKown and Emily Hart 8-3. Gosz and Randazzo defeated Janay Beamer and Lauren Knight 8-2.

Chybowski picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win over McKown at No. 2 singles, and Ake routed Lammertin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3. Chitko dropped Beamer 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4, followed by a 6-2, 6-4 win for Gosz over Hart at No. 5. Randazzo beat Lauren Hamilton 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.

St. Norbert closes out its spring break trip on Thursday with matches against Allegheny College and McDaniel College.
