Green Knights Cruise Past Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College extended its winning streak to five games with a 6-0 Midwest Conference triumph over Knox College.
The Green Knights, who have won seven of their last eight games since a 3-3 start, are now 5-1 in the MWC. Knox fell to 5-7 overall and 1-4 in the MWC.
Ben Vanden Avond scored St. Norbert's two first-half goals for a 2-0 halftime lead. Vanden Avond now has four goals on the season.
Adam Sanchez scored his 10th and 11th goals of the second with the Green Knights' first two second-half scores for an insurmountable 40- advantage. Eric Minten and Nick Anderson added goals for the game's final margin.
St. Norbert outshot Knox 18-12 and had a 5-1 nod on corner-kick opportunities.
Joe Schwartz made four saves to fashion the complete-game shutout. Cary Archer made six saves for Knox.
