Green Knights Roll to Wisconsin Private College Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College claimed the team title of the Wisconsin Private College Track and Field Championships by 80 points in the meet held at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights totaled 250 points to cruise to the team title, well ahead of runner-up Carthage College's 170 points. Ripon College was third with 131 points.

Taylor Pasterski won a pair of events, taking the 200-meter dash in 23.13 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 49.38 seconds.

Colin O'Brien won the 100-meter dash in 10.98 seconds, while Kevin Schlichter was third at 11.23 seconds. Jacob Wittmershaus won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:25.68, and Michael Heise was third at 11:35.45.

Randy Hill finished with three top-three finishes. Hill won the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet 6 inches. He was second in the long jump at 22-1 3/4, and placed third in the high jump at 6-3 1/4.

D.J. DeValk won the high jump with a height of 6-5, and also placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 43-3 3/4.

Both St. Norbert relays won, with the 4x100-meter relay timing 43.28 seconds and the 4x400-meter relay finishing in 3:26.71.

Jack Feuerstein had a pair of second-place finishes in the hurdles events. Feuerstein timed 15.53 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and clocked 57.04 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles.

Ryan Grandlic was second in the 400-meter dash in 49.50 seconds, and Austin Livingston was third in 49.64 seconds.

C.J. Lewis was second in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:49.53. Akeem Edmonds placed second in the 800-meter run at 1:58.65, while Hayden Hoffmann was second in the 1,500-meter run at 4:12.65.
