Green Knights Close Out Season at MWC Doubles Championship

MADISON - St. Norbert College wrapped up its 2015 men's tennis season with the doubles portion of the Midwest Conference Championships at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

The tanden of Robert Quinlan and Ben Vande Zande advanced to the semifinals of the No. 3 flight. The duo beat Monmouth College's Dylan Wong and Ronnie Griffin 8-6 in the quarterfinals. Quinlan and Vande Zande lost to Lake Forest College's Ellis Lora-Arceo and Nick Rehm 8-4 in the semifinals.

Travis Buechel and Nate Gosz lost in the quarterfinals in the No. 1 flight to Carroll University's Jack Michael and Peter Jaeger 8-6. Buechel and Gosz beat Ripon College's Lincoln Wurtz and Eric Seiler 8-0 in the first round.

At No. 2 flight, Casey Brice and Leon Gilman lost the quarterfinals 8-1 to Grinnell College's Tracy Johnson and Emilio Gomez. Brice and Gilman opened with an 8-0 first-round win over Illinois College's Brandon Hollenbeck and T.J. Lawal.
