Day 1 (5/19/15) - The St. Norbert College men's basketball team started the journey to Madrid today by departing De Pere early in the morning. After picking up everybody, we arrived at Chicago O'Hare Airport around 2 p.m. Coach Zweifelhofer had the responsibility of checking in the med kit, but chickened out because he was afraid he "wouldn't make it through." Carson Hughes picked up the responsibility, and he got stopped during the check-in because of the scissors and hydrogen peroxide. We departed O'Hare Airport around 4:30 p.m. and some people were more lucky than others. Depending on where your seat was, it either made or broke the seven-hour plane ride.

Day 2 (5/20/15) - After landing in Amsterdam from a seven-hour flight, we had a six-and-a-half-hour layover, which was brutal. All of the coaches slept. We then had a two-hour plane ride to Madrid. Once we checked into the hotel, we all hit the pool. Coach Grzesk almost jumped into the pool with his wallet and phone, even after he was told no jumping into the pool. After he emptied his pockets, Coach Grzesk did a superb cannonball, despite the warnings of the lifeguards and their disapproval. The rest of the night the team explored Madrid and relaxed.
