Kozlowski Earns Top Seeding in 800-Meter Run at NCAA Championship

CANTON, N.Y. - St. Norbert College sophomore Brittany Kozlowski earned the top seeding in the finals of the 800-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at St. Lawrence Uniersity's Merrick-Pickard Track and Field Complex.

Kozlowski, who was the No. 8 seeding entering the 22-contestant preliminary heats, turned in a time of 2:10.92. Her mark narrowly eclipsed Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges' Carmen Mejia's 2:10.95 for the top spot.

Sophomore Clarissa Jauregui finished 16th overall, finishing with a time of 2:14.22.

Saturday's championship race in the women's 800-meters is scheduled for 2:55 p.m. EDT.
