Goals Aplenty for St. Norbert in Win Over Wisconsin Lutheran

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had no trouble with producing offense as the Green Knights rolled to an 11-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

St. Norbert (1-1) jumped out to a 7-0 lead at halftime thanks to a 17-2 shots advantage. The Green Knights finished with a 35-3 edge in shots for the game.

Katie Vanden Avond scored four of St. Norbert's first five goals, matching her career game high. Vanden Avond now has 95 career goals after her outburst, and all of her markers came in the first 28 minutes of the game.

Monica Stephans added a goal in the 23rd minute, and Dana Schwab scored twice before halftime. Schwab then scored St. Norbert's first two goals in the second half. Katherine Oleniczak and Kathryn Colby had goals to close out the Green Knights' scoring.

Shannon Jung added three assists, while Fiona Hehir had two assists. Schwab also had an assist to give her a nine-point game.

Maddie Plinska made two saves for St. Norbert to post the shutout. Alyssa Summers made 16 saves for the Warriors.
