Green Knights Blowout Illinois College

DE PERE - It took a while, but St. Norbert scored an easy 7-1 win over Illinois College in a Midwest Conference soccer game at Minahan Stadium Complex.

St. Norbert scored its first goal at 30:33 when Ben Vanden Avond put a shot past the Illinois College goalkeeper on an assist from Eric Natwick. From there, the Green Knights would get goals from Natwick, Adam Sanchez, and Adam Stefaniak withink seven minutes of each other to put St. Norbert up 4-0.

Sanchez would add his second goal of the game at 51:00 on an assist from Kevin Conrath. Natwick would add his second goal of the game nine minutes later. Kevin Conrath also scored as St. Norbert would push its lead to 7-0.

Tom Bastios would score the lone Illinois College goal at 81:30.

Joe Schwartz and Brad Hammer split time in goal for St. Norbert, recording one save each.
