St. Norbert Blanks UW-Stevens Point

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College picked up its first dual win of the season with a 9-0 shutout of UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference match at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Green Knights (1-2) wasted little time taking control, winning all three doubles matches by scores of 8-3. Erika Chitko and Katherine Ake defeated Katelyn Asfeld and Kaylee Roberts at No. 1. Elizabeth Manlick and Anna Gosz followed with a triumph over Emily Kleist and Nicole Thorson at No. 2, while Ashley Randazzo and Katlyn Gahan defeated Jordan Tyjeski and Abbey Johnson at No. 3 flight.

Manlick defeated Asfeld 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, while Chitko beat Kleist 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2. Gahan topped Thorson 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 win for Katherine Ake over Frances Weiss at No. 4.

Gosz took care of Tyjeski 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles and Randazzo dispatched Johnson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6.
