Green Knights Place Fifth at Wisconsin Private Meet

MEQUON - The St. Norbert College women's cross country team placed fifth at the Wisconsin Private Schools Invitational held at Concordia University.

The Green Knights totaled 138 points for their fifth-place finish. Beloit College won the meet with 67 points, just ahead of Ripon College's 68.

Kelsey Timm led St. Norbert with a sixth-place finish in a time of 20 minutes 14 seconds. Kim Keil was 10 seconds behind to place seventh.

Isabella Benassi placed 35th in a time of 21:58, while Melissa Menne was 41st with a time of 22:11. Jeni Jobst completed St. Norbert's scoring with a 51st-place finish in a time of 22:49. Hope Kovala ran in 23:42 to place 64th.

Meanwhile at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational, Jenny Scherer and Ashley Graybill ran as part of an incomplete St. Norbert squad at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne.

Scherer placed 13th out of 415 runners with a time of 21:51 over the 6,000-meter course. Graybill was 19th in a time of 22:15.
