Streaking Knights Win Seventh Straight

DE PERE - St. Norbert College's men's soccer team won its seventh-straight game en route to a 3-0 triumph over Monmouth College in a Midwest Conference game at the Minahan Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights are now 12-4 overall and are 7-1 in the Midwest Conference, and have clinched a second-place league finish. Monmouth fell to 2-10-2 overall and 0-4-2 in the MWC.

St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead at halftime with a first-half goal by Adam Sanchez. Kevin Conrath passed a ball to the far post and was headed in by Sanchez for his 14th goal of the season at 14:31.

The Green Knights pushed their lead out to 2-0 at 60:12. Kevin Jones had a long run from midfield into the penalty area and then passed to John Cremer. Cremer fired a shot past Monmouth goalkeeper Owen Robinson for his fourth goal of the year.

Cremer then scored his second goal of the game and fifth of the year at 73:13. Aaron Benson played a cross into Cramer, who knocked the ball in through a scramble in front of the goal.

St. Norbert outshot Monmouth 17-8 and held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Green Knights also had 12 fouls to Monmouth's five.

Noah Davis worked the first 83:30 for St. Norbert, making three saves. Brad Hammer had two saves in relief for the Green Knights. Robinson made two saves for the Fighting Scots.
