Green Knights Drop Five-Set Match to Ripon

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rallied from a two-set deficit but couldn't close the match out and lost in five sets to Ripon College in a Midwest Conference match at Schuldes Sports Center.

Ripon won the first two sets 25-22, 25-21 before St. Norbert came back to win the next two sets 26-24, 25-21. The Green Knights held leads of 10-6 and 12-9 in the fifth set but Ripon closed out the match on a 7-2 run to get the win.

St. Norbert (6-11, 2-1 MWC) hit .190 for the match, with 70 kills and 33 errors in 195 attempts. Ripon (5-11, 2-0) totaled 10 team blocks to contribute to the error total.

Halie Ferry led St. Norbert with 21 kills and five errors in 53 attempts. Hannah Johnshoy added 15 kills, while Justice Janke had 10 kills. Kaitlin Delahaut finished with 34 assists, while Lauren Lehman added 24 assists.

Lehman finished with 13 digs, with Ferry adding 12. Aubree Antosch finished with 11 digs. Johnshoy and Anika Johnson both had three blocks apiece.

Ripon hit .277, with 68 kills and 24 errors in 159 attempts. Emily Gary totaled 22 kills, while Katie Berrell had 17 kills and Alison Barnes 15 kills. Abbi Williamson had 52 assists. Stacie Klika had a team-high 19 digs.
